Liturgy Committee's primary role is planning Sunday and Holy Day Liturgies
Basically, the Liturgy Committee is a group of parishion-ers who make recommendations regarding our Liturgical Celebrations. We gather once a month to organize and plan events relating to Mass and other forms of prayer. We make recommendations to the Parish Council regard-ing Liturgical ideas for programs and services as well as address referrals from the Council. The Committee has planned the Intergenerational Experiences in conjunction with the Religious Education Program. These ideas come from our members or Diocesan Conferences which some of us have attended.
Music Committee
plans the music for Liturgies incorporating recommendations from the Parish Council and suggestions from fellow parishioners.
Word Committee
prepares the prayers of the Faithful and opening reflections at Mass. They will also look for prayers to recognize special occasions and events such as Mother and Father's Day. With the age of computers, they will often make use of specific Internet sites to guide them.
Environment Committee
primary concern is the Liturgical space. They are responsible for decorating the 3 churches and greatly appreciate the many who step forward to help during the Christmas and Easter seasons.
All these committees welcome your assistance.
You can be part on one without having to attend the monthly Liturgy meetings.
