Ongoing Support

For those who have experienced death of a loved one

We have come to realize that there is additional need for ongoing support among parishioners, friends and neighbors for those who have experienced the death of a spouse, parent, sibling, child or friend.

We would like to add another branch to the Bereavement Committee to provide a monthly support and education group to ease the journey of grief for each other. Other parishes in Niagara County do not offer this level of much needed support.

Understanding grief is vital to healing. Monthly meetings with a variety of topics can provide knowledge and insight into the grief process and an opportunity to participate in small group dialog and offer support for each other in a safe, confidential, non-threatening atmosphere.

Nancy Weil from the Diocese of Buffalo has met with the Pastoral Council and will help us prepare and get our program up and running.  Jane Beilein and Carol Nochajski from the Pastoral Council are taking leadership to get this support started for our parish, but are looking for volunteers to help.  You can contact Jane at jbapples 4874@yahoo.com or Carol at cnochajski@gmail.com.
